The reader

The reader has arrived from Adelaide! Grandad arrived on the weekend and we don't let him do anything without reading a book first.  Lily and Grandad, 12 August 2012

Stopping to smell the flowers

Mum: How do you like my Erlichers?
Harper: Mum, don't say that.
Beatrix: Mrs Blakeney will get you in trouble for saying rude words like that.

Lily's festival

A great day today at the Gymea Lily festival at GBPS.  Was bitterly cold but the kids (of both varieties) did not seem to mind. Beatrix after she overcame her nerves.
Harper didn't want to give her rabbit back

Captain Jack and his hired sportswomen

Just like Captain Najork, Captain Jack is a favourite at our house for his mucking and sneeding.  Here is Jack wombling with Lily
While Harper and Hired Sportswomen No.1 (aka Gran) do some fooling around
and Beatrix and Hired Sportswoman No.2 (aka Mary), well, they are just beautiful.

What the pictures do not show

This picture shows three girls walking long the water at Carss Park, having a lovely time. 17 July 2012
This photo shows Beatrix and Lily helping Harper ride her big bike.
What neither show is the playdate we had with Lachlan, Griffin and Hamish in which poor Bryony was pinned down by four 4 year olds and tickled  - "Grab her legs!" "I've got her arms!" "Pin her down" :Squash her"

Gran's birthday

10 years ago Mum, the Grand A, Meggie Moo and Mum were in Paris. 5 years ago it was a big bash at the Ottaman in Canberra. This year - pin the tail on the donkey in Bexley with 6 under 5!

Early morning epiphanies from Harper

One
Harper: I wish I had two mouths
Mum: Why?
Harper: One for eating and one for drinking.

At breakfast: I want to have dad's women's cereal.

World map

When I mentioned in a recent post about the Limp-sticks (as they are now known in our house) that we needed a globe so the girls could learn some geography while overloading on sport, I'm not sure this is exactly what I had in mind but it does explain a lot.
