It was ironic that in a week that has seen major floods, with two thirds of the state underwater, our house remained dry... Until the laundry sink flooded after someone left the plug in!

Marriage
During a discussion at school about marriage Ella said that she was going to get married but she didn't know who to yet. Harper said she was not going to get married but just stay sisters forever. Beatrix and Lily concurred.
When Mrs Blakeney asked them where they would live, however, they had differing opinions - Harper wanted her own house but lily wanted to live at home. Mrs B suggested one made of straw, one made of sticks and one made of brick.
In a subsequent interchange with Ella, Ella said that she would have to marry a man. Harper said that you don't have you, you could marry a girl. Let's hope parliament catches up with her.

Time for bed, little goose, little goose
Mum: You promised me that you would go straight to sleep.
Lily: Yes
Mum: What happens when you tell a lie?
Lily: A fairy dies.
Mum: Oh. Well are you going to go to sleep?
Lily: I will just have a little rest, and will drift off to sleep when my eyes get tired.
Lily: Yes
